   Watch Promo

This is the first installment in the Juniper JNCIS Security series focused on JN0-332 exam objective topics.

Module 1 Summary:

This course will begin with an overview of advanced security concepts. We will discuss security from the perspective of the Juniper SRX product line. Part of understanding the security this device offers is understanding how the SRX Services Gateway is different from a router in how it handles and forwards traffic. We will talk about the differences between Packet-Based forwarding and Session-Based forwarding as well as the packet forwarding engine. After we spend some time talking about these security concepts we will spend some time understanding the concept of security zones. Once we have covered these concepts we will move into understanding how these concepts apply in zone configuration, troubleshooting and management. As we configure zones we will talk about how to use zones to your advantage to make your network more secure.

This installment covers the first two exam objective topics, Security Concepts and Junos Zones. This course contains over an hour of video covering topics you need to know to pass the JNCIS Security Exam. This course is Specialist level course and you should be familiar with Junos and the SRX before you begin. If you are new to Junos or want to get up to speed on Junos and SRX basics, please enroll in my JNCIA-Junos course for a complete guide to Junos and networking basics.
